Here's another fun fact about the original 1946 film It's a Wonderful Life: 

George's youngest daughter Zuzu is named after a brand of cookies that were popular in the US in the 40s called Zu Zu Ginger Snaps, which is why George says, “Zuzu! My little ginger snap” when he sees her at the end of the film.

Getting in the spirit for Halloween?  Love a good ghost story?  Think you're a good writer?  Then enter the library's two sentence horror story contest!  You have until Friday, October 30 to submit your story.  It can be no longer than two sentences and should be properly bone-chilling.  Ask your English teacher for the Google form to enter.  The top three entries will win a free book and Halloween candy from the library!

Girls bowling starts November 16th at Viking Lanes at 3:45 pm.  Any girls interested should sign up on Snap and have a valid physical on file.  Any questions can be sent to Coach Woody at jwoody@hononegah.org.

 Club Announcements:

Key Clubbers, check Classroom to sign up for concessions for this Friday's playoff game.  In addition to earning important funds for our club, all volunteers become eligible for the Booster Club scholarship.  Ask your parents to help and sign up before lunch today if possible! 

The Young Progressives Club is having a "Meet the Movement" event in Settlers Park this Friday at 4:00PM. Come join us to meet Paul Nolley and learn more about his platform. Can’t vote? Learn about his journey from graduating Hononegah to becoming the Democratic Party's nominee for Congress and what you can do to get your voice heard. We will have food and drinks!

Attention Art Clubbers! Join us on Thursday, October 29 at 8:15! We will be finishing our sugar skulls, finishing the Artober book, and passing the journal.

• No budging in the lunch lines. Please wait your turn and stay in line.

• Taking items without paying is considered stealing and is against our lunchroom rules. Students who are seen doing this will be subject to disciplinary consequences.

• If you are not getting food, please do not stand in the lunch line or hold a place for someone else.

Please be respectful to our lunchroom staff and to the students around you. We all share responsibility for keeping the lunchroom a positive, respectful place for everyone.

Students, please get on your bus immediately after school. Buses leave at 3:25.
