Today we will have our annual Homecoming Pep Assembly in the fieldhouse between 2nd and 3rd hour. We'll run the following bell schedule:

Your commitment to being here every day and being on time matters, and we’re excited to celebrate you. Please stop by the DA Office to pick up your prize!  For perfect attendance: Evan Lester, Mackenzie Bigwood, Olivia Story, Liam Sumner, Talyn Koelker, Caroleann McLevige, Kameron Long, Spencer Dahling, Zander Avila, and Chase Cutler and for no tardies: Haylie Simpson, Brysen Pound, Carson Huffine, Samantha Knapp, Scarlett Campbell, Evelyn Lovejoy, Josephina Serra King, Haylee Justin, Noah ODonnell, and Kevin Selser


Hononegah's Homecoming Dance, The Spirit of Pandora, takes place tomorrow night from 7-10 PM in the fieldhouse. Please make sure your ride is here to pick you up by 10:00. Today is the last day to buy your ticket in person, and remember, guest tickets must be purchased in person.  We can't wait to see you there!


Support the clubs and activities of Hononegah at the Homecoming Parade today at 4:15 PM. This year the parade will run on Chapel Street from Green St. to Salem St.


ATTN: All juniors who signed up to take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 22. Please remember to complete your Student Readiness Check before October 19. Directions and login credentials were delivered to your English class earlier this week. Need additional help? Please read your PSAT/NMSQT Next Steps email sent on September 24.


ATTN: All 10th and 11th grade students are invited to take a proficiency test during Wednesday, October 14 - Friday, October 16 or Wednesday, October 21 at 7:00 am (ideal for students with a 1st hour) or at 7:45 am on the track at Kelsey Filed. These are the only dates and times the test will be offered. Students must pass the test to be exempt from PE for 2027-2028. Please sign up for the test by Tuesday, October 13 using a link found in your school email titled 2027-2028 Physical Education Proficiency Test sent on September 2, 2026.  Students are to meet in the Student Commons on the day of their test.


Attention Seniors! The FAFSA is a required step for Illinois high school graduation, and the 2027–2028 application is now open! Join the school counselors next Wednesday, October 7th, during Late Start from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Library for a hands-on workshop to create your FSA ID and start your financial aid process. Bring your device and get a head start. See you there!   


 Club Announcements:

Calling all Hockey Enthusiasts. This Saturday, we will be helping set up the Ice Rink in Beloit. Look to the Google Classroom announcement for more information on how to help!

Expectations in the lunchroom:

  • There is no budging in the lunch lines. Please wait your turn and stay in line.

  • Taking items without paying is considered stealing and is against our lunchroom rules. Students who are seen doing this will be subject to disciplinary consequences.

  • If you are not getting food, please do not stand in the lunch line or hold a place for someone else.

Please be respectful to our lunchroom staff and to the students around you. We all share responsibility for keeping the lunchroom a positive, respectful place for everyone.

Students, please get on your bus immediately after school. Buses leave at 3:25.
