It’s Picture Week!  School pictures for the yearbook will be taken in PE, Health, and Driver’s Ed on Wednesday and Thursday. If you do not have one of these classes, you may get your picture taken during your lunch period. Students must be photographed to appear in the yearbook.  VIP will send out an email with proofs and order information.

In preparation for this year’s fall play, It’s a Wonderful Life, we’re bringing you fun facts every week about the original 1946 film, researched and compiled by the production’s dramaturg, Evee Layng, who also plays Aunt Tilly! 

• Did you know that the gym floor that opens up to reveal a swimming pool underneath belongs to a real high school? The scene was filmed at Beverly Hills High School in Beverly Hills, California, where the opening gym floor is still regularly in use.

Performances of It's a Wonderful Life will be Nov. 6th & 7th @ 7 pm and Nov. 8th @ 2 pm. Tickets will go on sale Friday, October 9th.

The Math Team's first two competitions are the NIATM Math Competition and the American Mathematics Contest.  Additional contest details are on Google Classroom.  Sign up by this Friday on Google Classroom or talk to Ms. Regan.  Questions can be directed to captains Kaelynn Bohnert, Emilee McKiski, and Jules Negron.

In-person ticket sales for the Homecoming Dance take place Monday through Friday next week before school and during lunch hours. If you're bringing a guest, you must turn in your guest form by the end of the day this Friday, September 25th. All guest tickets must be purchased in person.

Show your school spirit next week by dressing up for Homecoming Spirit Week! Monday is Google Meet Monday. Wear formal or business attire on top and informal or casualwear on the bottom. Tuesday is Blue Day. Dress in all blue or as your favorite blue character. On Wednesday, Dress for the Wrong Occasion! Thursday is Class Color Day. Freshman wear orange, sophomores wear green, juniors wear blue, and seniors wear pink. This is the perfect day to wear your Powder Puff shirts! On Friday, show your school spirit by wearing your best purple and gold. As always, please make sure all clothing is school appropriate. 

Got something you want to show off??? Sign up for the Homecoming Talent Show taking place on Tuesday, 9/29 at 6:00pm. Singer, dancer, instrumentalist, stand-up comic, hardcore RC car driver, Bob Ross impressionist, you name it, we want to see it!!  Club Announcements:

Model UN will have a meeting after school on Wednesday in Mr. Smith's room 1209. 

Science Olympiad will meet this Wednesday. Please make sure you attend a very short 15-minute meeting at 8:15 AM or 3:20 PM in Mr. Stoltz's room so we can finalize our team numbers for the competitive season. 

Key Club will meet Thursday morning in the upper AP room at 7:30 for those with a first hour and at 8:00 for those without.  We will finalize our window painting design and go over upcoming events at Midway Village and GiGi's Playhouse.  All are welcome. 

Grace on Campus will be hosting their first event of the year on Wednesday, September 23rd. See You At The Pole is a national event in which schools across the nation will pray over their school and community. Grace on Campus invites everyone to join us at the Salem Street Flag Pole at 8:05 am to not only pray over our school and community, but to worship as well. Tuesday's meeting next week has been cancelled due to this event. 

Renaissance Club will be meeting Wednesday, September 23rd from 7:30-7:50 am and again at 8:15-8:35 am in room 2114.

Expectations in the lunchroom:

• There is no budging in the lunch lines. Please wait your turn and stay in line.

• Taking items without paying is considered stealing and is against our lunchroom rules. Students who are seen doing this will be subject to disciplinary consequences.

• If you are not getting food, please do not stand in the lunch line or hold a place for someone else.

Please be respectful to our lunchroom staff and to the students around you. We all share responsibility for keeping the lunchroom a positive, respectful place for everyone.

Students, please get on your bus immediately after school. Buses leave at 3:25.
