Congratulations to Lucas Smitley for winning Chess Club's April Tournament by winning four games out of four. Asher Boelk and Ian Schmidt tied for second and Gavin Schmidt finished third. Today, we will host our Find Your Fit College, Career & Education Fair from 6:00–8:00 PM in the Student Commons and Main Gym. More than 20 colleges and 40 companies will be in attendance, offering information and opportunities to explore educational and career pathways, job openings, internships, and training programs.
Freshmen will get an exclusive sneak peek of the career portion of the fair during all lunch hours today as part of our monthly Freshman Mentor meeting. All freshmen should report to the Student Commons today to meet with their mentors and experience the fair.

Are you interested in representing your class on Hononegah's Student Council? Pick up a petition in Mr. Lee's room, 2300, for your chance to join! All petitions are due to Mr. Lee by 3:30 PM on April 23rd. Candidates running for an officer position must create a 2 minute video speech, which is also due by 3:30 PM on April 23rd. Reach out to Mr. Lee or Mrs. Haab with questions.
Attention Juniors: Do you want to be the Student Representative to the School Board next year? Pick up an application in room 2300. All applications are due to Mr. Lee in 2300 by 3:30 PM on April 27th. You do not have to be a current member of Student Council to apply.

Your Junior class is happy to announce that our Tides of Elegance themed Prom will be held on April 25th at Tebala Events Center. The dance will be from 7-10 pm with doors opening at 7:00. We will be selling tickets before and after school April 20th-23rd. Ticket prices for Hononegah Juniors and Seniors is $40, guest tickets and underclassmen guests are $50. Tickets may also be purchased online using the QR code found on the posters around the school. Guest forms can be turned into the DA office and are due by April 17th.
Dance team sideline tryouts will be held in the Main Gym on April 27th through the 30th. Anyone interested in trying out should stop by Mrs. Frautschy's room, 1323, before or after school to pick up an informational packet.
Do you like to be outdoors? Do you like sports? Do you like volunteering? Please consider volunteering for the Special Olympic Spring Games held on May 2nd,2026 at Harlem High School. Posters with the QR code can be found in the cafeteria and by the Principal's Office. Great for individuals or clubs looking for volunteer hours.
This Wednesday, April 15th, there will be a modified schedule to conduct the Panorama Survey. Your honest responses are incredibly important — this survey helps us understand our students and how you've grown while measuring key life skills that are essential. The more thoughtful and genuine your answers, the better we can support YOU. Additionally, we will also be holding our last fire drill of the year on Wednesday, weather permitting. As always, please follow all procedures calmly and promptly when the alarm sounds.
Attention Bass Fishing Club members, we are having a meeting this Friday, April 17, at 8:15 am in room 1436. Please visit Google Classroom and complete the two forms posted today and look at the practice schedule also posted.
Key Club will meet on Thursday (4/16) in the upper AP room at 7:30 for those with a first hour and at 8:00 for those without. We will finalize our plans for Senior Sunrise and go over our final volunteer opportunities. If you are a senior, this is your last chance to get your hours for your medallion.Are you interested in seeing original films made by your peers? Look no further than Cinematics' Student Film Showcase. Submit your own films of any genre, length or style to Mrs. Robinson via email. Film submissions are accepted through Wednesday, April 22nd and the showcase will premiere Thursday, April 23rd at 3:30 in the PAC. Don't forget to bring a friend!
