Have a favorite book with a cover that you love?  Want to make that book even more special?  Then come to the library after school on September 24 for our book bedazzling program!  Bring your own book, and we will provide all bedazzling materials and a bookmark craft.  All students and faculty members are welcome to attend!  See Mrs. Blum in the library with any questions.

Got something you want to show off??? Sign up for the Homecoming Talent Show taking place on Tuesday, 9/23 at 7:00pm. Singer, dancer, instrumentalist, stand-up comic, hardcore RC car driver, Bob Ross impressionist, you name it, we want to see it!! Do you have what it takes to represent your class in the 2025 Homecoming Pep Assembly Games? Then sign up now! This year we have two games to compete in: the Balloon Pop Relay and the Inflatable Costume Obstacle Course. The assembly takes place in the Field House on September 26. The whole school will be there! Fill out the form sent by Mr. Lee by 3:30 on Wednesday for your chance to play.

Tomorrow is Country vs. Country Club Day! Dress for the fields or the course, but remember, tomorrow is also school picture day. Make sure your attire is parent-approved.

Come dance to the beat of carnival on September 27 from 7-10 pm. at Hononegah's Homecoming Dance, Rhythms of Rio!  Concessions of drinks and candy will be available during the dance. Your ID is your ticket to enter the dance. All students must enter the dance by 8:30 pm, and once you leave, you may not re-enter. You can buy tickets with cash before and after school in the PAC lobby and in the AP Room during all lunch hours this week. Online ticket sales for Hononegah students will continue through Saturday. In person ticket sales will end Friday after 7th hour lunch. Friday is the last chance to buy a ticket for a pre-approved guest.

Powder puff t-shirts are in.  If you purchased a shirt, please pick it up in room 2114 before Thursday.

Club Announcements:

Creative Endeavors Art Club! We will meet on Thursday morning at 8:15 in art room 1439 to talk about our next endeavors and pass the journal! See you then!

The Renaissance Club invites you to join us for the annual Homecoming Powder Puff games on Thursday, September 25th.  The evening will kick off with the freshman/sophomore powder puff game at 5:45 followed by the Student Council Assembly at 6:30 and finally the junior/senior powder puff game at 7:00.  After completion of the games, Student Council is sponsoring a bonfire.  Everyone is welcome. Doors open at 5:30 pm and there is a $1 charge for entry to the event. 

Grace on Campus invites everyone to join us next Wednesday, September 24th at 8 am for our annual see you at the pole event. This is a global event where community members meet around a flag pole and pray for our school, nation, and world. Everyone is welcome! There will be no meeting Tuesday, September 23rd.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to implement the new Smart Mouth Pizza program. Please be aware that it will take time for our team to become fully familiar with the process. Your cooperation is essential in helping us ensure smooth service. We kindly remind everyone to remain in line, refrain from cutting ahead, and follow all cafeteria behavior expectations.

Important Information:

• The pizza warmer is hot. Please exercise caution when retrieving your pizza box.

• Salads, sandwiches, and Uncrustables will also be available on the pizza line.

• The homestyle line will continue to offer the alternate menu item, along with salads, sandwiches, and Uncrustables.

• Please note: If you are purchasing both a full lunch and a second entrée or value meal, Smart Mouth Pizza should be your full lunch due to the pricing structure of the Smart Mouth Pizza program.  Have your alternate item as your value meal or second entree.

All the Pepsi vending machines in the building accept debit/credit only, except for the 1 Pepsi vending machine in the cafeteria and the 1 snack machine in the cafeteria, these are cash only machines. When using a debit/credit card, please note there is a "hold fee" when making purchases that should be refunded within 24 hours.  If this is not refunded or the machine charged you but did not dispense the product, you must call your bank or credit card company to dispute the charge. Pepsi cannot refund your card and the school district cannot refund your card. The card readers are operated by an outside company. Once you have finished your purchase do not walk away from the machine without pressing and holding the yellow complete button until you see the screen say make your selection again. This is a very important step so that your card is cleared from the machine. Please reference the picture.
