· The first International Club meeting will be Wednesday, September 8, at 8:15 a.m. in room 1108. Everyone is welcome. Come learn what our club has done in the past and our exciting plans for the year ahead.

 

· The Hononegah Gay-Straight Alliance will meet Mondays after school in room 2414. We're "breaking the ice" with the help of our newest members!  The club is open to all LGBTQ students and their friends as well as supporters of Gay and Lesbian rights.  We need students who want to plan events, meet new people and work on creating a safe environment for all students. See Ms. Aubrecht if you have any questions!

 

· The RUDE Society will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, September 8, at 8 a.m. in the PAC.  If you are unfamiliar with RUDE it stands for Reduce the Use of Drugs in Everyone.  Stop down on Wednesday to check out the club and see if it's for you.  Any questions please see Mrs. Plourde in room 1516B. 

 

· Extreme Sports will have their first meeting Friday morning at 8 a.m. in room 1436.  We will be discussing trip destinations and fund-raising opportunities.  If you cannot make it please see Ms. Buchko in 1436 later in the day on Friday. 

 

· Attention:  Buses depart at 3:25 p.m. Please make sure you are prompt and out at your stop no later than 3:25 p.m.

 

· Seniors are reminded that all three Senior Forms are due on Friday.  The Senior Information Sheet and Student Record Release Form should be returned to the GCP office.  The Request for Graduation Information is returned to the Principal's office.   The forms can be printed off of the school's website or picked up in the GCP office.

 

· There is a Student Council meeting this Friday at 8:20 a.m. in the PAC.  All members are requested to attend.  If you are unable to attend please see Mrs. Hays in room 1207.

 

· The first Renaissance Meeting will be on Tuesday, September 7, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 2301.

Everyone is welcome and treats will be served. 

 

· The Math Club will have its first meeting Tuesday, September 7, at 8 a.m. in room 2016.

 

· Fall Play Auditions:  For: The Skin of Our Teeth

Students interested in Auditioning for the Fall Play must to be in the PAC after school on Wednesday, September 8, until 7 p.m.

ü  The play includes over 30 Roles.

ü  Actors will be asked to perform two contrasting monologues less than 1 minute each at the audition.

ü  Students who do not have monologues prepared are welcome to audition and can expect to perform a cold reading.

ü  Call Backs will be held the 9Th 10Th and 13Th of September until 7 p.m.

ü  Please see Mr. Mazur in room 1204 for details.

 

· Hononegah Gamers Association will have its first meeting of the year, Thursday, September 2, after school in room 1108. Contact Mr. Rose if you cannot make the meeting. 

 

· Jostens will be at school taking class ring orders on Thursday, September 2, during lunch periods outside the AP room.  Open House/Family Night is Thursday night, September 2, from 4-5 p.m. in the PAC Lobby.  Please have your form filled out prior to the order day or design your ring on-line at www.Jostens.com .

 

· If you would like to be a classroom helper at Rockton Grade School, stop by the library to sign-up by September 5.  Talk to Mrs. Bohn if you have any questions.
