Press Release - Hononegah Community High School Hosts Student Career

Rockton, Ill. (April 26, 2018) –

Hononegah Community High School is excited to host the 8th annual Hononegah Student Career Fair today, Thursday (April 26, 2018) from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Hononegah cafeteria.

Representatives from over 30 local businesses and organizations from a variety of industries will be at Hononegah Community High School to interact with students during this special event. Before the Student Career Fair begins, participating organizations will have the opportunity to take a building tour featuring the Career and Technical Education classrooms and enjoy a dinner catered by Hononegah’s own Tribal Bistro, a team of student chefs led by Family and Consumer Science educator, Mrs. Jane Lang.

The Student Career Fair will then kick off at 6:00 pm. Whether students are looking for a job, internship, shadowing opportunity, or simply want to discuss their potential future career, this is a great opportunity to create or update their resume, dress to impress, and have some practice in professional communication about what makes them a valuable asset. Several of the participating organizations will be conducting onsite interviews for various positions. Students are encouraged to come ready to ask questions about career fields and perhaps interview for their first job or pursue new opportunities in fields more in line with their career interests.

Please join us for this exciting event.
